Fine Art Wildlife Photography Print by multi-award winning photographer Sam Turley - Cheetah
Location: Imire Rhino and Wildlife Conservancy, Zimbabwe
Description: I have been captivated by the introduction of Cheetah onto Imire. After studying Zoology, I am well aware of the importance of predators in an ecosystem but to see the effect that they have on an environment first hand is something entirely different. I feel beyond privileged to have been a part of this historic move and to have had the opportunity to capture it.
During the first month of their release I was tasked with locating and monitoring the Cheetah's progress as they explored their new environment. I have had many memorable moments with these Cheetah but often my most fond memories are those when I was with them alone.
On this occasion, I found them early morning before anybody else did. They were still sleeping in this iconic Msasa woodland, a scene that I had dreamt of many night before. The casual glance over the shoulder shows just how relaxed he is in my presence.
A very special morning.
